UV printing works on a wide range of materials, including (most) plastic, glass, metal, wood, leather, etc. Ideally the substrate (material) being printed on should be flat or mostly flat, rigid, and non-porous. Round objects work to a certain degree as well too.

UV DTF stands for "Direct-to-Film" UV printing, a process where UV-cured ink is printed onto an adhesive film, which is then fed through a laminator. The design can then be cut out and applied to a wide variety of surfaces – think of it as a (permanent) sticker.

UV DTF involves printing onto a film and transferring the design to the surface, while regular UV printing directly prints on the object.
