How durable are UV prints?UV prints are very durable. They are resistant to fading, scratching, and weather conditions. This makes them a perfect solution for both indoor and outdoor use. After all, sunlight is just UV light anyway, right?
-
What can be printed using UV printing?UV printing works on a wide range of materials, including (most) plastic, glass, metal, wood, leather, etc. Ideally the substrate (material) being printed on should be flat or mostly flat, rigid, and non-porous. Round objects work to a certain degree as well too.
-
How long do I have to wait for the ink to dry? There is no waiting! UV (ultraviolet) printing is a process where UV light is used to instantly cure (dry) the ink as it’s being printed.
-
What is the maximum size for UV DTF printing?Currently our maximum size for our UV DTF sheets is 16.19 inches x 12.19 inches.
-
How durable are UV DTF prints? In short, they're virtually permanent. This makes them an ideal long-term solution due to their durability against washing, weather conditions, fading, etc.
-
What is UV DTF? How does it work?UV DTF stands for "Direct-to-Film" UV printing, a process where UV-cured ink is printed onto an adhesive film, which is then fed through a laminator. The design can then be cut out and applied to a wide variety of surfaces – think of it as a (permanent) sticker.
-
What’s the difference between UV DTF and regular UV printing?UV DTF involves printing onto a film and transferring the design to the surface, while regular UV printing directly prints on the object. UV DTF is more flexible because it allows you to apply them onto objects with irregular shapes or uneven surfaces, while standard UV printing is more suited to flat materials.
